Dance Overture is London Studio Centre’s annual end-of-year production, showcasing the diverse and exciting talents of our students. Staged each Summer at a leading London venue, Dance Overture is a vibrant celebration of dance and musical theatre that covers a wide range of genres, such as commercial, jazz dance styles, contemporary dance, ballet, hip-hop, tap as well as acting and singing.
When Dance Overture is on, it creates a buzz throughout the whole LSC community. Our graduation ceremony takes place in the same venue, between the Saturday matinee and evening performances, so our graduating third years will flock to the show to support their peers. Faculty, staff, parents and other friends of LSC all come along to applaud the growing talents of the 1st and 2nd years. Additionally, LSC hosts an alumni reception during the Sunday matinee. We strongly feel that this outpouring of positive energy is a vital element in the growth of our students as performers. While London Studio Centre has held yearly showcases since its founding in 1978, the title of Dance Overture was first applied in 1986.
