We know that for many of our students this is the first time that you’ll be living away from parents and you’ll be studying and performing dance in a full-time capacity. As such, we aim to make your experience at the conservatoire as fulfilling and worthwhile as possible, both inside and outside of the studio.

Students take part in several classes throughout the day, encompassing both practical classes in the studio, as well as dance theory and dance science classes which will give you an in-depth insight into how you can refine your condition and dancing ability to its full potential.

At London Studio Centre, your education is holistic, and whilst you specialise in one of classical ballet, contemporary, jazz dance or musical theatre, your time at the conservatoire will allow you to leave a well-rounded performer. This is due to our courses being built on core technique, from which we give you the opportunity to expand your dance repertoire across multiple disciplines.

Accommodation

London Studio Centre is based in North Finchley, just a 25 minute tube journey from central London, meaning they’re well situated to be able to see shows in London’s West End. The location of the conservatoire also means that there are a plethora of options when it comes to accommodation for students. To support prospective students in their preparation for life at LSC, an extensive list of student housing within easy travelling distance of London Studio Centre will be sent to all successful applicants.

London Studio Centre has a long-standing relationship with Chester House in Muswell Hill. They offer catered accommodation to students which is a short bus ride away from our facilities, offering an environment in which students can live together with an experience similar to that of a university hall.

Alternatively, many of our students decide to rent privately and share flats or houses with one another. There is an abundance of estate agents in the immediate proximity, offering a good selection of suitable housing within a few minutes walk or a short bus ride from the conservatoire. This enables students to live in an affordable residential area within easy reach of their studies.

Although it is the responsibility of parents or students to find their own accommodation, every assistance will be given both initially and throughout the course. There are social media groups set up for students to join, offering the chance to get in touch with new and current students, to ask questions and to find other students looking for places to live.
